Agreements, Memoranda of Understanding, Pacts & Protocols/Linkages
Pakistan signs Agreements, MoUs, Pacts and Protocols are entered into with different countries of the world. Besides various linkages with foreign universities/research institutes are also developed. It encourages the establishment of bilateral cooperation between the Universities. The countries cooperate in the exchange of experience, information in the higher educational, scientific, technological spheres and scientific research and results achieved there from. There is a transfer of knowledge and skills where the other country has expertise, experience and capacity to assist in. Scholarships in different fields mutually agreed by the countries are also offered and seats are reserved for the students of other countries through these programmes.
The HEC drafts MoU and Agreements related to higher education and reviews the existing pacts and protocols, MoUs etc. drafted and signed by other Countries, Ministries, Organizations and Institutions and furnishes comments and proposals on the matters pertaining to higher education.
The objectives of the Joint Educational Programmes, Linkages and Agreements with the different countries are:1. to strengthen friendly relations between the countries through enhancing and deepening cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research. 2. to encourages the establishment of bilateral cooperation between the Universities. 3. to cooperate in the exchange of experience, information in the higher educational, scientific, technological spheres and scientific research
