INTRODUCTION:

Applications are invited from eligible students for the award of undergraduate scholarships offered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka under the above scholarship scheme for undergraduate degree programmes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Minimum 75% or above marks in SSC and HSSC.
• Candidate passed their Examinations in Supplementary Examinations  OR Improvers are not eligible.
• Medium of study in FSc/FA/Diploma should be English (if the medium is not English than applicant must produce English Proficiency Certificate with Minim 6.0 in IELTS or 525 in TOEFL).
• Scholarship holder should be in good health. Scholarship holder should submit a Medical Health Certificate issued by a Government Hospital as per the attached format.

 SCHOLARSHIP COVER & OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for Laboratory experiments.
• During the study period, a monthly allowance of Rs.30,000. will be paid.
• One-off settlement allowance of Rs. 10,000-is given after registration at the university.
• Cost of Air fare should be borne by the scholarship holder.
• Accommodation: It's expected that the scholarship holder will meet the expenditure for food and accommodation with the monthly allowance of Rs.30,000 (Accommodation will be arranged by the relevant university)
• Medical Cover: Free of charge medical benefits will be provided at government hospitals other than dental related diseases.
• Scholarship holder should be in good health. Scholarship holder should submit a Medical Health Certificate issued by a Government Hospital as per the attached format.

 HOW TO SEND APPLICATION:

• Download and fill MOHE Application Form (03 Sets)
• Download and fill HEC Application Form (one set only)
• Download and completely fill Health Fitness Form (03 copies to be attached with MOHE Application Form)..
• Attach an INTRODUCTARY note with EACH MOHE Application Set (A4 size).
• Select the Undergraduate Program from the List of Undraguates Program
• Attach copies of Certificate/Transcripts of SSC, HSSC and Diploma etc. with each set of MOHE Application Form.

WHERE TO SEND APPLICATION:

Complete application packet  must reach to the office of undersigned before 25-09-2011. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.
