| Eligibility Criteria |
1. Scholarships are awarded by the Project Steering Committee.
2. 60% weightage is given to HEC academic evaluation formulaand 40% weightage is given to the University ranking.
3. Recipient/Awardees of scholarship are bound to come back to Pakistan and to serve for 5 years in Pakistan.
4. HEC reserves the right to accept or reject any application without giving any reason(s).
5. Finally selected candidates will have to execute Deed of Agreement; furnish Guarantee to the Higher Education Commission; Certification of the financial soundness of Surety/Guarantor and a Surety Bond before joining the program.
6. Any efforts to influence HEC will disqualify the candidate. |

| Introduction |
HEC Scholarship program ‘Provision of Higher Education opportunities for students of Balochistan and FATA’ also provides ‘10 Ph.D scholarships for Journalist of FATA’. The scholarships were announced on 28th November 2009 and the last date for submission of application forms was 30th January 2010. In response 22 applications were received. 7 eligible candidates were informed to secure admission in HEC identified Universities by 31st July 2011. |
