QA Committee

Quality Assurance Committee was constituted by the Chairman Higher Education Commission on October 23, 2003. This committee is composed of Vice Chancellors of various universities keeping in view the representation of smaller, medium and women universities along with geographical equality

The committee has developed a frame-work to ensure quality in higher learning which also comprises of the Ranking of Universities. This decision was taken with mutual consent of the committee members in consultation with other stakeholders to promote positive competition and fostering improvement in standards of higher education programmes.

Another very significant achievement of this Committee is the development of new criteria for the award of Ph.D. degree.These criteria will be implemented uniformly by the Pakistani Degree Awarding Institutions across board.
