Omani Scholarship Program Undergraduate Studies (Academic Year 2026–27)

​The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan invites applications from Pakistani/AJK nationals for the Omani Scholarship Program for Cultural and Scientific Cooperation offered by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman for undergraduate studies.

The scholarship is fully funded and provides an opportunity for outstanding students to pursue higher education in Oman. The Government of Oman has allocated two (2) undergraduate seats for Pakistani students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must fulfill all of the following requirements:

  • HEC reserves the right to change or modify the nomination criteria. All admissions, scholarship awards, selection decisions and financial responsibilities remain the sole responsibility of the relevant authorities of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman. HEC shall bear no financial liability in connection with this program.
  • Must be a Pakistani/AJK national and must not be residing in the Sultanate of Oman.
  • Must have completed the General Education Diploma (or equivalent Higher Secondary (HSSC) qualification) during the 2025–2026 academic year.
  • Must have obtained at least 75% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Must not exceed 21 years of age at the time of application submission.
  • Must be medically fit (physically and sensory healthy and not requiring special assistance).
  • The General Education Diploma (or equivalent certificate) and transcript must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Pakistan. (For nominated candidates only)
  • All applicants are required to provide the valid USAT test score. Those applicants who do not have the valid USAT test score are not eligible for the nomination process.
  • Eligible USAT test results for Oman Scholarship: Applicants who already have a valid USAT test score (test taken on or after 13 June 2025 till 13 June 2026) will be considered for the nomination process. There will be no separate USAT test conducted for this scholarship.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST READ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA BEFORE APPLYING

NON-ELIGIBLE PROGRAMS/SUBJECTS:

  • The grant does not cover the following majors: Medicine (General/Human), Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences or Education.
  • The HEC scholarship portal may show all subjects in the program tab; it is the sole responsibility of the applicant to select the subjects other then the non-eligible programs mentioned above.
  • The program includes all non-government Higher Education Institution in the Sultanate of Oman.

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Apply online at: https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk . After registering and filling your profile, go to dashboard and click “Learning Opportunities Abroad (LOA)" and select "OMANI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES 2026-27" in the application form. 
  • After submission of the application, get its printed copy to be signed by applicant. Do not send hard copies at this stage of the process. Only nominated candidates will be contacted for submission of hard copies of the documents.
  • Make sure to use your own operational contact number and email address in HEC scholarship portal for communications regarding nomination results and documentation. In case of misinformation and wrong contact information, applicant's application may be subjected to ineligibility.
  • ​Only submitted applications will be considered for nominations. Applications marked as saved will not be considered.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 16 JULY 2026 (Extended)

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • Fully funded undergraduate education.
  • Monthly stipend of OMR 200 if student accommodation is not provided by the host institution.
  • Monthly stipend of OMR 140 if student accommodation is provided by the host institution.
  • One round-trip air ticket per academic year.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (Only for NOMINATED Candidates)

Applicants should prepare the following documents:

  • Valid Passport.
  • General Education Diploma (or equivalent certificate).
  • Academic Transcript.
  • Apostille attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Pakistan on the academic certificate and transcript.
  • Recent passport-size photograph.
