United International University (UIU), Bangladesh (Undergraduate Program)

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, invites applications from Pakistani/AJK nationals for two (02) undergraduate scholarships offered by United International University (UIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The scholarships provide 100% tuition fee waiver for undergraduate degree programs at UIU. In addition to the tuition fee scholarship, the university has also offered to facilitate hostel accommodation at an affordable cost for the selected students.

IMPORTANT NOTE: APPLICANTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CAREFULLY READ THE ADVERTISEMENT BEFORE SUBMITTING THEIR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED BY UNITED INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (UIU) AS WELL AS THE EXPENSES THAT MUST BE BORNE BY THE STUDENTS.

Eligibility Criteria

HEC is only acting as the nominating agency for the subject scholarship program. HEC reserves the right to change or modify or select next in line merit applicant in the nomination based on missing/incorrect information/documentation provided by the applicants. All admissions, scholarship awards, selection decisions and financial responsibilities remain the sole responsibility of the relevant authorities of the United International University (UIU), Dhaka. HEC shall bear no financial liability in connection with this program.
Must be a Pakistani/AJK national.

Nomination Criteria:

All applicants are required to provide the valid USAT test score. Those applicants who do not have the valid USAT test score are not eligible for the nomination process.

USAT tests taken for Pakistani universities admissions are not el;igible for the foreign funded scholarship applications.
Eligible USAT test results for UIU, Dhaka Scholarship: Applicants who already have a valid USAT test score (test taken on or after 10 August 2025 till 09 August 2026) will be considered for the nomination process.
There will be no separate USAT test conducted for this scholarship.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification (12 years of education) and meet the following minimum academic requirements:

A minimum GPA of 2.50 (Second Division or equivalent) in both SSC and HSSC/equivalent examinations.
Applicants having GPA 2.00 in either SSC or HSSC/equivalent may still be eligible, provided their combined GPA in SSC and HSSC is at least 6.00.
Candidates with A-Level qualifications must have completed:

At least 5 O-Level subjects with an average grade point of 2.50 or above
At least 2 A-Level subjects with an average grade point of 2.00 or above.

Foreign applicants must have completed 12 years of education with an equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant authorities.

How to Apply

Apply online at: https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk . After registering and filling your profile, go to dashboard and click “Learning Opportunities Abroad (LOA)" and select "UNITED INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (UIU), BANGLADESH" in the application form.

Make sure to use your own operational contact number and email address in HEC scholarship portal for communications regarding nomination results and documentation. In case of misinformation and wrong contact information, applicant's application may be subjected to ineligibility.

Only submitted applications will be considered for nominations. Applications marked as saved will not be considered.

After submission of the application, get its printed copy to be signed by applicant. Do not send hard copies at this stage of the process. Only nominated candidates will be contacted for submission of hard copies of the documents.
