Awards are conferred upon the teachers and administration of Universities / Degree Awarding Institutions in recognition of their achievements and services rendered for the development of institution and society.
The Government of Pakistan, Islamabad invites nominations every year for different categories of Civil Awards to be announced by the President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 14th August.
It is requested to send suitable nominations from your Institute highlighting Academic Distinction for Civil Awards to HEC on attached proforma duly signed and stamped by the recommending authority i.e. Vice Chancellor/Rector.
At HEC level, the following Civil Awards are being dealt:
- Hilal-i-Imtiaz
- Sitara-i-Imtiaz
- Pride of Performance
- Tamgha-i-Imtiaz
These recommendations are forwarded to Ministry / Cabinet Division for further necessary action.
One copy of the following must be submitted:
Details as per Quantified Criteria | Please mention all details as per attached Quantified Criteria (please provide evidences for each criterion) |
Recommendation Form | i) Duly signed and stamped by concerned Vice- Chancellor/ Rector of the University/Degree Awarding Institution. ii) In case, the nominee is Vice- Chancellor/ Rector, HEC will sign the Proforma. |
Any Civil Award during last Five years | A certificate must be attached duly countersigned by the concerned VC/Head of Institution that the nominee has not been conferred upon any Civil Award during last Five years |
Plagiarism Certificate
| A certificate must be attached duly countersigned by the concerned VC/ Head of Institution to ensure that there is no plagiarism in applicant's thesis and publications |
It may also be noted that the applicants who have already received any Civil Award should write all their achievements after the year of said Award. Their previous achievements will not be considered. Incomplete applications and nominations received after due date will not be entertained.
Nominations will be accepted till 1700 hours February 22, 2021
