Islamabad, August 9, 2023: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organized the Prize Distribution of Inter-University Essay Writing Competition that was announced on 75th Anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day. The cash prizes for the Inter-University Essay Writing Competition were Rs. 500,000 for the first position, Rs. 300,000 for the second position, Rs. 200,000 for the third position, and Rs. 100,000 for the fourth to tenth position holders in both Urdu and English categories.
The top three winners of the Inter-University Essay Writing Competition in Urdu were Mr. Talha Ijlal from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Mr. Saifullah from the International Islamic University, and Ms. Lubna Maryam from the University of Gilgit-Baltistan.
In the English category, Mr. Syed Haris Nawaz from Abdul Wali Khan University, Mr. Muhammad Wajid from the National University of Modern Languages, and Ms. Nimra Arooj from the National University of Medical Sciences secured the top three positions respectively.

On the occasion
of 75th Anniversary of Pakistan, Higher
Education Commission in partnership with Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives is
holding Inter-university Essay Writing
Competition in Urdu & English language. The essay writing competition is aimed at
sensitizing the Pakistani youth to analyze opportunities & challenges faced
by the country and identify their role in development of Pakistan through
critical thinking, creativity and productive engagement. It is a great
opportunity for the youth to demonstrate their extra ordinary writing skills
and win national awards.
