Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) is the national key University directly administered by the Ministry of Education of China. It is the top 10 Research University in China and a member of China's Ivy League C9 League. It was ranked No. 10 on the list of 2022 Shanghai Ranking of Chinese Mainland and No. 290 on the list of QS World University Rankings 2022.
Since its founding 126 years ago, Xi'an Jiaotong University has persisted in breaking down disciplinary barriers, enhancing its ability to innovate in science and technology, and gradually becoming a comprehensive research university with 9 major categories of disciplines: science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy, and art. According to the data released by Essential Science Indicators (ESI), the Engineering programs of XJTU are ranked top 1‱ on the ESI list, the other 17 disciplines of XJTU are ranked top 1%, and 5 disciplines of XJTU are ranked top 1‰ on the ESI list in 2022. Now, Xi'an Jiaotong University is on the List of World-class Universities and First-class Disciplines (abbreviated as “Double First-class") released in 2017 and 2022 by the Ministry of Education of China as a Double First-class university in Category A, which means that the university will get strong financial support from the Chinese government to develop into a world-class university into the first-class level in the world.
Application:
The application for international programs XJTU of the 2023 intake has officially started. XJTU offers 263 English/Chinese-taught undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in different disciplines and a wide range of non-academic programs such as the Chinese Language Program, Visiting Scholar Program, Exchanging Students Program, Foundation Program, and Summer Camps for the international student, researchers, scholars, and intellectuals.
