The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan invites applications from Pakistani students for admission to the Language Teaching Center at Kuwait University for the academic year 2026–27. The scholarship program offers an opportunity to study the Arabic language through a specialized academic program at one of Kuwait's leading higher education institutions.
The Government of Kuwait has allocated two (2) scholarship seats for Pakistan (one male and one female candidate). The program is designed for students interested in developing advanced Arabic language skills through full-time study at Kuwait University.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Study Arabic language at the Language Teaching Center, Kuwait University.
- Program duration: Three academic terms (First, Second, and Summer semesters).
- Commencement of studies: 13 September 2026.
- Opportunity to study in an international academic environment and enhance linguistic and cultural understanding.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
HEC reserves the right to change or modify the nomination criteria. All admissions, scholarship awards, selection decisions and financial responsibilities remain the sole responsibility of the relevant authorities of the Kuwait University. HEC shall bear no financial liability in connection with this program.
- Be a Pakistani/AJK national & permanent resident of Pakistan/AJK. Dual nationality holders are not eligible.
- Be between 18 and 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Hold a recognized academic qualification equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or above.
- Be medically fit for overseas studies.
- Be fully committed to completing the entire duration of the program.
- Comply with the academic and residential regulations of Kuwait University.
HOW TO APPLY:
Apply online at: https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk . After registering and filling your profile, go to dashboard and click “Learning Opportunities Abroad (LOA)" and select " Kuwait University Language Teaching Center Scholarship 2026–27" in the application form.
- While creating your profile or before submission of application form, make sure your education details are entered correctly. Any misinformation or incorrect information regarding educational details will result in rejection of your application.
- After submission of the application, get its printed copy to be signed by applicant. Do not send hard copies at this stage of the process. Only nominated candidates will be contacted for submission of hard copies of the documents.
- Make sure to use your own operational contact number and email address in HEC scholarship portal for communications regarding nomination results and documentation. In case of misinformation and wrong contact information, applicant's application may be subjected to ineligibility.
- Only submitted applications will be considered for nominations. Applications marked as saved will not be considered.
NOMINATION CRITERIA:
HEC will shortlist and nominate candidates strictly on the basis of academic merit. Applicants will be ranked according to their overall marks/percentage obtained in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC/FA/FSc or equivalent examination), from highest to lowest.
In case two or more applicants secure the same HSSC marks/percentage, the merit ranking will be determined based on the marks/percentage obtained in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent examination).

Applicants must submit:
- Medical fitness certificate (MOFA Attested)
- Character certificate/Police certificate (MOFA Attested)
- Attested copy of academic qualification certificate IBCC and MOFA
- Valid passport copy
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Four recent passport-size photographs
Important Information for Nominated Candidates:
- Students are required to arrive in Kuwait at least five days before the commencement of classes.
- A refundable accommodation deposit may be required by the university upon arrival.
- Scholarship recipients must comply with all rules and regulations of Kuwait University and the Language Teaching Center.
- Candidates must submit complete and accurate information. Any discrepancy may result in cancellation of nomination or admission.
