The Higher Education Commission (HEC) warns all stakeholders and the general public to remain vigilant against fraudulent websites, scam phone calls, and deceptive activities falsely claiming affiliation with HEC.
Official HEC Online Service Portal
HEC's only official and authentic online service portal is:
https://eservices.hec.gov.pk
Any other websites or portals are unauthorized and potentially dangerous.
Identified Fraudulent Website
A fraudulent website impersonating the official HEC portal has been identified:
https://eservices.hecgovt.org.pk/login
Do NOT access or share this fraudulent link. It is being used for illegal activities, including phishing attempts to steal personal data.
Beware of Fraudulent Phone Calls
It has also come to HEC's attention that fraudsters are making phone calls claiming to represent HEC. These individuals:
- Falsely claim to offer assistance with degree attestation or verification.
- Demand money for processing verifications or attestations.
- Ask for personal information, verification codes, or sensitive financial details.
HEC categorically states that it does NOT contact individuals directly for attestation, verification services, or to request any payments or personal information over the phone.
How to Protect Yourself:
- Always use the official HEC portal: https://eservices.hec.gov.pk.
- Never share personal information, passwords, OTPs, or bank details over the phone or on suspicious websites.
- Ignore and report any calls requesting payments or personal data on behalf of HEC.
- Stay alert to other similar fraudulent websites and scam attempts.
Note: This public alert is issued in the interest of public safety and data protection. HEC shall bear no responsibility for any loss, financial damage, or data breach resulting from interactions with fraudulent websites, calls, or unauthorized individuals.
