The Russian House in Karachi is happy to announce the start of the 2026-2027 Russian Government's Scholarship Program. Pakistani students can apply for Bachelors, Masters and PHD programs.

The Russian Center for Science and Culture (Russian House) in Karachi is the ONLY AUTHORIZED INSTITUTION IN PAKISTAN RESPONSIBLE FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP; the placement of candidates at institutions is done by the Russian Ministry of Science and Education.
Financial Coverage
The Russian Government Scholarship can cover the whole period of study at any of Russian universities plus some pocket money monthly. Students do not pay any admission and tuitions fees. However, the scholarship does not include travel and daily life expenses.

Application Procedure
A candidate has to take the following steps:
To register on the website "Education in the Russian Federation for foreigners" (https://www.education-in-russia.com);
The candidate must, among other things, choose the field of study or specialty as well as the level of education and then 6 educational institutions in which he/she would like to study (in priority order: 1st – high priority; 2nd – less priority; etc.). Please carefully fill out the application form, because after submitting it for consideration of any changes in the level of education and the list of priority universities ARE NOT ALLOWED.
To attach scanned copies of the original documents to the application:
- Passport
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) (OR Cambridge International A Level Certificate, OR Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE)) and mark sheets of 10th and 12th class (for candidates who apply for Bachelor's and Specialist's degrees), Bachelor's degree and full transcript of marks if you apply for Master's program, Master's Degree and full transcript of marks if you apply for PhD programs
- Consent to process student's personal data (to be downloaded and printed from the website, signed and uploaded back);
- Application form (to be downloaded and printed from the website, signed and uploaded back)
Important: Students who graduate in 2026 MUST submit 10th and 11th class results and a letter from school confirming that they are currently undergoing a 12th class program and will attend the final exams this year.
- Students who finish their educational programs (Bachelor and Master's degrees) in 2026 MUST provide all semester-wise mark sheets available at the moment and a letter from university confirming that they are final year students and will graduate in 2026 upon successful completion of their final exams;
- All candidates applying for PhD programs MUST additionally provide a copy of their research paper, list of scientific publications and a recommendation letter from the RUSSIAN university, where they want to study.
After completing/filling the application, and for consideration transfer/upload the filled form with appropriate status on the website till January 15, 2026.
Make sure that the applications status is not marked as "Draft", draft status applications will not be accepted for consideration. Candidates can choose only one field of study/specialty within the same level of education.

Course Selection & Other Documents
The selection of candidates will be held in the following forms:
- Competition of documents on education and qualifications;
- Portfolio competition (research articles, victories in national and international subject Olympiads or contests, sports achievements on the national and international level);
- Creative test (for applicants applying for specialties and fields of study that require certain creative abilities, physical and psychological qualities).

Required Documents After Selection
Applicants who pass successfully the first step of the admission campaign will be obliged to add the document package with:
Ø Fitness certificate;
Ø Certificate of absence of AIDS/HIV;
Ø Certificate of absence of hepatitis B and C and tuberculosis;
Ø Translations of all documents into Russian duly certified by the Russian consulate and upload them to the website (https://www.education-in-russia.com) until January 15, 2026.
