The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) is the academic arm of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, envisioned as the premier institution for quality research and teaching related to all aspects of higher education in Pakistan. The capacity-building programs at NAHE aim to develop the expertise and capacity of the research faculty & higher education leadership to contribute to Pakistan's research and development sector.
To this end, NAHE, HEC, is pleased to launch its first Ph.D. Supervisors Capacity Building Program to be executed in collaboration with the British Council (BC) and Coventry University, UK under the Pak-UK Education Gateway Project. The program's top performers would be given an advanced-level learning opportunity at Coventry UK based on selection through assessment, evaluation, and pre-defined criteria. The course is designed through national and international consultations of expert academicians for the HEC-approved Ph.D. Supervisors working at Public Sector Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
NAHE intends to schedule the program in Punjab, KP, and Federal regions (mainly) from 05th June 2023 onwards. In this regard, you are requested to share nominations from your institution with the following eligibility criteria:
- Maximum age limit 55 yrs.
- Must be an HEC Approved Supervisor with 3-5 years of experience.
- Must be Professor/Associate Professor at any public sector university in Pakistan.
- Supervised a minimum of 05 PhD awardees who have successfully defended their thesis of relevant research area as per Pakistani context.
- Candidates with at least 03) HEC recognized journals publications during the last five (05) years.
- Candidates who have completed at least one National/International Research Grant.
