History and Back ground
City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT) Peshawar, is one of the first private sector Universities, Chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recognized by HEC and accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council, National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE) etc. for various programs. The University is an extension of Peshawar Model Educational Institutions (PMEIs), founded in 1979 to impart quality education at an affordable cost.
In recognition of the extra ordinary educational services of PMEIs, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Then N-W.F.P), granted the Charter of City University of Science and IT on August 30th, 2001, to establish a premier institute of higher education in the private sector of KP. The then Governor KPK, Lt. Gen (R) Syed Iftikhar Hussain inaugurated the University on Oct 06, 2001 in the presence of renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Our vision at CUSIT is to make City University, Nationally and Internationally recognized as premier university with global perspective that produces leaders and professionals who will contribute to the betterment of society; a University whose name stands synonymous to excellence, quality in teaching, research and whose graduates standout among competitors.
Our Mission is to advance knowledge, deliver affordable quality education, and provide conducive learning environment of internationally recognized stature in Science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and humanity
Students and Faculties
The University is providing quality higher education through faculties of Engineering and Technology, Computer Science and IT, Management Sciences, Science and Humanities. The programs offered cover wide range from undergraduate to MS and PhD levels. All programs are offered by strictly following the Global Standards for tertiary education under the guidance of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. With the help of highly qualified PhD faculty having ample teaching experience, well equipped Labs and modern facilities, CUSIT is providing State of the Art Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA), to the students, to enable them to compete at national and international job markets.
For placement of its graduates, developing academia industry linkages and faculty training & development, City University Consultancy Services and Research (CU-CSR) has been established at Islamabad. The graduates of CUSIT are distinguished in the market with quality knowledge and innovative skills. They are serving various public and private sector organizations both at national and international levels with high degree of commitment, perseverance and dedication.
National and International Collaboration
CUSIT has been collaborating with national and international institutions of higher learning and research in the areas of faculty development, students' training, joint workshop and conferences, research and development. City University has become academic partner with All World Network (AWN)®, a Harvard University based organization for developing All Pakistan 100 Fast growth Program. CUSIT is also the first institution of its kind in KP, having partnered with Association of Business Education (ABE) UK for provision of globally accredited and HEC recognized quality education in the fields of management, marketing and Entrepreneurship. CUSIT is also partner with East Carolina University USA and Auburn University USA, Florida International University (FIU) USA, for holding two series of conferences i.e. "International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering Management and Sciences (ICETEMS)" and International Conference in Construction in Twenty First Century (CITC)".
CUSIT is determined to become one of the top ten Universities of Pakistan by year 2020 through quality higher education, cutting edge research on the contemporary issues and collaboration with national and international collaboration.
