USTC Scholarships

USTC, one of the top distinguished universities in China, is now calling for applications from Pakistani/AJ&K nationals to apply for PhD & Master's programs under different scholarship categories in academic year 2021-22, including Chinese Government Scholarship, ANSO Scholarship and USTC Scholarship. The successful candidates will avail exemption from tuition fees, on-campus dormitory accommodation, monthly stipend, medical insurance. The successful candidates for ANSO Scholarship will even be subsided for travel cost.

USTC has many different academic disciplines which have recruited over 400 students from Pakistan currently on USTC campuses. Students are warmly welcome to apply for any PhD and Master's programs available at USTC. However, those who wish to apply for PhD and Master's program in the field of Earth Sciences, are also requested to inform the focal points of China-Pakistan Joint Research Centre on Earth Sciences (CPJRC) by filling in the annexed "Applicant Pre-Assessment Form".

CPJRC is jointly launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter called "CAS") and the Higher Educational Commission of Pakistan (hereinafter called "HEC") and to be established on the campus of Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. The overall objective of CPJRC is to engage both Chinese and Pakistani scientists to conduct joint scientific research on natural hazards, ecology, environment, climate change and sustainable development in Pakistan and its surrounding areas, and provide opportunities for young students to study in USTC and UCAS for PhD and MS degrees, and for young scientists to participate in short-term training courses in Pakistan for capacity building.​

The applicants who wish to apply for PhD or Master's program in the field of Earth Sciences are requested to fill in the Pre-Assessment Application Form (See "Annex 3") together with a copy of your passport ID page, CV, bachelor/master degree certificates, bachelor/master transcripts, proof of English and/or Chinese knowledge, detailed research proposal, title pages and abstracts of published papers (if any) and 2 reference letters before 20 March, 2021. CPJRC will help to coordinate with USTC on selecting the best candidates from the applicants.
