Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships for students from Bangladesh

​​Government of Pakistan is offering scholarships to Bangladesh's youth for their capacity building through imparting quality education to 500 scholars in various fields including Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Basic & Social Sciences etc. The aim of this scheme is to strengthen bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Bangladesh and further it will enhance people to people contacts between both brotherly states. It is fully funded Scholarship which Covers Tuition, stipend, hostel & mess charges, settlement allowance, air ticket, books & stationery.

Scholarship Levels:

  • ​Undergraduate Level
  • PhD Level 

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree Program​​:

  • Students must have 12 years of education in required subjects with at least 60% marks
  • Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy: F Sc. / Equivalent examination (Pre-Medical) with at least 65% Marks.
  • Engineering: F. Sc. / Equivalent Examination (Pre-Engineering) with at least 65 % marks.

Doctoral Degree Programs:

  • 18 years of education in relevant subjects with at least 3.00 CGP/ or 60% marks.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates who have foreign qualification must provide Equivalence Certificate from IBCC & HEC. ​

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

The Scholarship offers full tuition fee, stipend, hostel & mess charges, settlement allowance, air ticket, books & stationery.

Terms & Conditions

  • Only Bangladesh citizens are eligible for the award of scholarship.
  • Age limit for BS programs is 17-23 years and maximum age limit for doctoral programs is 35 years. 
  • The candidate must have acquired the requisite qualification on or before the last date of application submission.
  • The candidate will be required to serve Bangladesh after completion of education in Pakistan.
  • Selection will be made purely on merit basis after physical examination of the documents provided by the applicant.
  • Placement of students will be solely at HEC discretion
  • Medium of instruction will be English
  • ​Merit list will be prepared on the basis of information provided by the applicant. In case of any misinformation/misrepresentation, scholarship will be terminated at any stage

  • An application form to be filled online at https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk/#/pbs​
  • All registered candidates appear in scholarship test organized by HEC in collaboration with Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka and Bangladesh's Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Shortlisted candidates will appear in an online interview.
  • ​Last date for submission of Applications is December 15, 2025
