Q: Is DoU- MoU mandatory for the visiting Faculty?

Can someone apply who has Ph.D. degree but not teaching at any University?

Person holding responsible academic position in organizations other than education and research are also eligible to apply.
How the Faculty can initiate to submit the application form?

Provided one is eligible and pre-requisites are ready; He/she needs to fill the Faculty Exchange Program Application form, get it endorsed by Chairman/Dean/HoD, approved by the Head of the Institute and send it through email along with CV & other related documents. No document in hard is required unless asked.

A copy of the DOU/MOU signed between collaborating institutions.

Complete visit plan based on the mutually agreed activities along with expected tangible outcomes.
In which country the Faculty can apply for visit?

Foreign Faculty members from top 300 ranked HEIs of technologically advanced countries, can be invited to Pakistan & vice versa for Pakistani Faculty.
When the visiting Faculty can apply under this program?

The program is open round the year, the applications are accepted and processed on rolling basis. It is advisable to submit the application at least three months before the tentative visit dates. Late and incomplete application will not be entrained.
What is duration of the stay?

The minimum duration of the visit is two weeks whereas maximum may not be more than sixteen weeks or a regular semester.
The duration of the visit can be extended?

A visiting Faculty can apply more than one institute?

Yes, but within the country and the same must be mentioned in application form at the time of submission and approved from the host institution as well.
Can this program be utilized for postdoc?

No, the faculty member can only execute proposed, planned and approved activites under the faculty exchange program.
How much honorarium paid to Foreign Faculty?

How much will be paid in terms of airfare?

revised FEP Policy of December - 2025
, round trip economy class airfare from origin to destination and back, as per actual or Rs.500, 000 whichever is less.
Who will pay the honorarium/salary to Faculty?
Expand Answer
Host Institutions shall pay the honorarium and air fare expenses (as of actual) to the foreign faculty before his/her departure and HEC will reimburse.
