Higher Education Commission since its inception provides guidance and support to the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) regarding their mission and goals. Which keeps on changing to accommodate global challenges, arises in the role of HEIs. As HEIs previously kept their focus on providing knowledge and education only to those who enters in their premises to acquire learning. HEIs role is fast changing from access to quality and from quality to relevance and now according to new role, HEIs/Universities are pushed to impact community and economy as to pay back to their country.
This specific program is designed to push universities/HEIs to integrate their research and teaching activities to address local issues, by community involvement, to provide on ground solutions. Through this program HEIs/Universities will provide a platform to the local community, in radius of each campus, where problem identification, development and execution of policies will be carried out.
Proposals are invited under the theme Climate Change, Environment and Pollution.
The last date for submission of application is April 15, 2018.
