HEC Alumni Gateway
The AEP program has been launched under the umbrella of the HEC alumni portal. This program is built on the notion of the philanthropic value of alumni engagement. Philanthropy translates as "for the love of humanity" from its Greek roots. As a result, philanthropic value can use this fundamental concept to assess value based on its ability to provide some benefit to people's lives. Naturally, the meaning of philanthropy has evolved beyond this etymological perspective to include a modern and public idea of private wealth contributing to improving the quality of life of others, usually through major financial donations. For AEP, we define philanthropy as giving time, talent, treasure, and ties.

This sets the objective of AEP as “building a lifelong relationship with alumni to promote alumni self-development, to attract a larger pool of potential beneficiaries, and highlight HEC's role in capacity building for various stakeholders."

Triad of AEP Philanthropic Value

The AEP philanthropic concept revolves around the interplay of relationships between various actors and beneficiaries. As the triad suggests, three main sections are outlined as key bubbles in the diagram: alumni, potential beneficiaries, and HEC. This triad and the interaction between them enable the realization of the alumni engagement program.

A detailed discussion is provided to better understand each actor and his role in the triad.
