HEC

The applicant must:

• Be a Pakistani/AJK national and enrolled as a full-time PhD student at a recognized university in Pakistan.
• Have completed at least 18 credit hours of PhD coursework.
• Have completed at least 18 months but not more than 3.5 years of PhD enrolment at the time of application. For the applicable batch, the PhD enrolment date must fall between Spring 2023 and Spring 2025, inclusive.
• Have passed either the GAT Subject Test or University Admission Test at the time of admission/enrolment in the PhD programme.
• Have an approved PhD research topic and synopsis from BASR, DASR, or an equivalent notified body of the university.
• Have an official acceptance/invitation letter for research from a foreign university, institute, or laboratory.
• Have a host university ranked among the top-ranked universities overall or subject-wise according to the QS World University Rankings or Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
• Have a proposed foreign supervisor who has not previously supervised the applicant's local PhD supervisor.
• Have a proposed foreign supervisor who is a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
