Basic Eligibility Criteria

Must be a Pakistani/AJK national only.
Must have an MS/MPhil or qualification equivalent to 18 years of education.
Maximum age on closing date of application is 45 years.
Must hold a full-time regular university teaching post in public sector university/DAIs, which he/she will rejoin after completion of studies as per term condition of scholarship award.
Must have two years of consecutive teaching experience in the parent /serving university/DAI.
Must have 60% marks in annual examination system or minimum 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 in the semester system in the final degree, and no 3rd division/D grade in the entire academic career.
Applicants having HAT/GRE General Test result with at least 60% passing score, since May 2023 to May 2025 will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Faculty members already enrolled in PhD (before Spring 2024) are not eligible for FDP scholarship.
Applicants who already availing HEC/Government/University or any other scholarship are not eligible for FDP scholarship.
Equal opportunity to entire applicants. Preferences will be given to the faculty working in the remote areas universities / DAIs / Campuses.
Selected Faculty member will be required to obtain admission in non-parent HEC recognized universities in Pakistan. Admission in serving University will not be allowed. However, the faculty of the university with more than one HEC approved sub-campus, will be allowed to enroll in the sub-campuses/excellence centres of the university.
Regular faculty are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Those Public Sector institutions which have contractual setup of employment, they are also eligible to apply for the scholarships. However, the faculty member will be bound to serve the parent university after PhD degree.
Visiting/adjunct faculty are not eligible for the FDP scholarship.
